North Miami Mayor Philippe Bien-Aime and Councilman Alix Desulme, Ed.D. have partnered with the National Haitian American Elected Officials Networks (NHAEON) and local community leaders to host a Haiti Disaster Relief Assistance Drive. The event will start at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church located at 740 NW 58 Street in Miami, FL 33127.
In an effort to provide much needed aid to the areas affected by the recent earthquake in Haiti, Mayor Philippe Bien-Aime and Councilman Alix Desulme, Ed.D. have partnered with City of Miami Commissioner Jeff Watson, Rev. Gregory Thompson, President of The African American Council of Christian Clergy (AACCC), and Dr. Dorothy Bendross Mindingall, School Board Vice Chair at Miami Dade Public Schools, to donate pallets of goods and much needed emergency supplies. These goods will be collected and distributed via trustworthy organizations working to provide relief to Haiti. As Haitian American leaders, the goal is to create a network of support and send a message of hope to all Hiatian people who have been dealing with ongoing turmoil on the island.
